German culture and traditions

Learning a language should be like exploring a treasure trove and to make it more exciting, we like delving into the culture of the countries involved. Take German, for example. As you grasp the language, you'll stumble upon stuff like "Ruhezeit", their quiet time tradition (check out our story on that here) and their amazing bakeries.

But wait, there's more! Over the next weeks, you will see short stories about German bakeries, the bavarian mountains and their "Alms", and the mouthwatering "Backfischbrötchen" (fish sandwich) from the northern cities.

Germany is not the only german-speaking country and each one of them (Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Liechtenstein) has their own special traditions and quirks.

We will also practice numbers, common interactions in daily life and more. Subscribe to our short stories so you don't miss any!
